More Engaged, Better Connected Parents

We are deeply grateful to the Community Foundation of Sarasota County for their generous $75,000 grant supporting our 2Gen Empowered Parents program.

This funding empowers Hispanic parents and grandparents who face significant barriers to engaging in their children's education—from limited understanding of the U.S. school system to financial insecurity and lack of community connections. Through leadership development, educational workshops, financial literacy training, and community-building opportunities, we equip families with the skills and confidence to navigate the education system, advocate for their children, and actively participate in ways that improve student performance, attendance, and family integration.

Their support also enabled our "Start-Up Circle" entrepreneurship program, which graduated 19 entrepreneurs on November 18, and helped us train Parent Leaders who serve as vital ambassadors. These leaders bridge our programs to the wider community, providing feedback, leadership, and support that make our work more accessible and impactful.

As a result, families are more engaged, better connected, and positioned to contribute meaningfully to their children's education and the broader community. Their investment is transforming lives and building a stronger, more inclusive community for generations to come.

Our thanks to the Community Foundation of Sarasota County for believing in our mission and our families.
